Bachelor of Laws
Jessica (Jessie) is a New Zealander who grew up in Hamilton. She is persuing her
Bachelor of Laws with Honours at the University of Waikato and is expected to
graduate in the middle of 2027. Jessie began her journey with Sharma Law at the
start of 2025, expanding her knowledge across all areas of immigration process and
legal research.
Jessie has a special interest in work and residence visas in the skilled migration
space. Jessie often assists our legal team with clients obtaining work visas and
reviewing their best course of action to obtain residence. She assists with
researching immigration policy, case law, researching, appeal, drafting legal
opinions, preparing submissions and assessing the point of law and merits of the
case.
Along with her role at Sharma Law, Jessie also works in the hospitality industry as a
Duty Manager for a reputed catering company in Hamilton. Within this role, she
plans and organises luxury events and corporate functions.
Before attending university, Jessie attended St Peter's Cambridge for seven years,
where she grew her love for outdoors and sports. In her time off, Jessie is a
dedicated hockey player who has represented the Waikato region and enjoys
travelling and visiting new places.
