Iglika joined Sharma Law with a strong commitment to providing clear, practical, and client-focused immigration advice and assistance.
Having migrated with her family from Bulgaria to Christchurch, New Zealand in 2014 at the age of 11, Iglika has a personal understanding of the experience of moving to a new country. This perspective, combined with her legal training, allows her to approach immigration matters with empathy, care and a genuine understanding of the importance of achieving the right outcome for each client.
Iglika completed her Bachelor of Laws at the University of Canterbury in 2025, followed by her Certificate of Professional Legal Studies in early 2026. She subsequently relocated to Hamilton to embrace the lifestyle and opportunities the Waikato and wider North Island have to offer. She is expecting to be admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand later this year.
Before joining Sharma Law, Iglika spent six years working in the hospitality industry. This experience developed her strong customer service skills and her natural ability to build rapport, establish trust and make clients feel supported. She brings these qualities to her legal work, ensuring clients feel informed and comfortable throughout their immigration journey.
Iglika assists with a broad range of immigration matters, with a particular focus on partnership-based temporary and residence visa applications. She is committed to providing forthright, reliable advice and working closely with clients to help them navigate what can often be a complex and highly personal process.
Outside of the office, Iglika enjoys exploring New Zealand on road trips, spending time at the beach and making the most of the outdoors. She also enjoys playing basketball, volleyball, and tennis recreationally.
