Entrepreneur Work Visa & Residence Visa
Entrepreneur Work Visa & Residence Visa
The Entrepreneur Work Visa allows you to come to New Zealand to purchase and revitalize an existing business or set up a new business if you have a viable business plan, the minimum capital required to invest and if you can claim a minimum of 120 points on the scale.
Your application is evaluated based on age, capital investment, business location (whether outside Auckland) and significant benefits your business will bring to New Zealand such as employment generation and introducing unique or new products or services.
If your proposed business is going to operate in science or ICT sectors or show a high level of innovation, or credible short-term high-growth prospects, Immigration New Zealand may consider waiving the minimum capital investment requirement.
Immigration New Zealand will assess the Applicant’s credentials with respect to their previous business experience in self-employment or at senior management level, genuine intent to establish a business, sufficient funds towards capital investment, and funds for self-maintenance in New Zealand and meeting the English language requirement.
Once you have been granted an Entrepreneur Work Visa, you must set up and start your business within the first 12 months of your visa and obtain a further 24-month visa to work towards profitability and fulfil the proposals outlined in your business plan.
Gaining Residence from Enterpreneur Work Visa

If you wish to apply for residence before 2 years you will need to have invested at least NZD 500,000 and created 3 new jobs in New Zealand.
